Silver Jubilee of a Golden Couple

23 November, 1991 was the year when an LLB man tied knot with a Ph.D lady! Both looked so spectacular together and made for each other –in the photographs and video of their marriage. I feel vexed as I could not attend their marriage. Why? –because I didn’t even enter the world as a human kid then! Yes, you are almost close to it –it was the marriage of my mom and dad –‘The Golden Couple of a Glorious Era’!

Almost a week back on 23^rd November 2016, exact 25 years later, the lovely couple celebrated their Silver Jubilee and looked terrific together! And I again feel disappointed and despaired as I again couldn’t witness the love birds and their charm, because I am too far to see that. I’m Delhi and they are in my hometown and their love nest ‘Kanpur’. However, I felt the same excitement and enthusiasm in my veins as they had because no distance can ever fade the feelings of family-ship (blood relations).

My parents, being so simple, sober, smart and shy do not like to show off or create a hype when it comes to celebrate their love for each other or a love moment or even a day like this; in fact, they either like to keep it private and cherish every moment with their kids (me, my younger sister and brother). Alas! We (I & my sister) were not there at their big day and my naughty, tiny bro managed to gain all the limelight along with the warmth of their limitless love. However, they know we missed them so bad and could have made this day a blast if we would have been there with them on their 25th anniversary.

Anyways, I am playing my part best from here as I am praying for their health, wellness and togetherness -as I always do. I hope to see them soon and celebrate their great day –once more and with more opulence!

P.S. –Mom dad I love you so much and I always pray for your wellness. May God keep you cheerful ceaselessly and bestow umpteen blessings upon you both!
