Types of Jeans to Wear & Not to Wear in Delhi

Delhi is the name for love, food and fashion. You can’t afford to look plain when are in the chic capital of India. In fact, when it comes to traveling or shopping you need to try something that’s in trend and something that really works. No doubt, you would pack some elegant dresses and heels, but you really can’t go with the plain old jeans!

So, to help you pack the best clothing for the city of culture and high fashion party at one fell swoop, here are listed a few types of jeans which can never go out of trend in Delhi:

1.      Destroyed Jeans: D for "Delhi" & D for "Destroyed" -pardon the double sense! Destroyed jeans are the most loved and worn in the city. These jeans look cool, fashionable, voguish and appealing. You seem to carry a bold personality when you wear a destroyed jean. Also, these look cool in Delhi and is acceptable in high fashion nights or a trendy day out.

2.      Boyfriend Jeans: Boyfriend jeans are the loose, boyish jeans which look sexy on girls. So, if you are a modish girl –there is no thinking twice before picking up the boyfriend jeans for you. Also, the amazing feel of wearing the boyfriend jeans adds confidence and appeal in your over all look.

3.      Urban Jeans: Urban jeans look fashionable and are comfortable at the same time. You can don these types of jeans if you wish to have a casual look. Urban jeans are in the trends in India and surely in Delhi, but make sure that your jeans are of good quality or high fashion brand.

4.      High Waist Skinny Jeans: Jeans are means to make your legs look sexy. High waist skinny jeans ankle length do not only help your legs look slim and sexy, but also make them look in shape as these jeans fit well to flaunt your long legs.

What not to wear:
When you know which thing or apparel will go well in Delhi, you should also know what won’t work in the city:

·         Do not collect the large cropped pants in your wardrobe please! Especially the lace-trimmed ones which look baggy and not look fashionable anymore.
·         Don’t think of trending with Mom jeans when in the city, until unless you are a hipster. These are loose, old fashioned and make you look awful -nothing else.
·         Plain jeans would also look good on you in 2017’s Delhi. Don’t buy anything too simple or something that was in trend during 2007.

Important Note:

Not when you know which jeans to pick and which to drop –you are good to go. All you need to make sure is that when you buy "a Dress for Delhi", buy it from a reputable clothing site / store. Also, try to buy branded stuff as they are more comfortable, light weights and last longer.

23 November, 1991 was the year when an LLB man tied knot with a Ph.D lady! Both looked so spectacular together and made for each other –in the photographs and video of their marriage. I feel vexed as I could not attend their marriage. Why? –because I didn’t even enter the world as a human kid then! Yes, you are almost close to it –it was the marriage of my mom and dad –‘The Golden Couple of a Glorious Era’! Almost a week back on 23 rd November 2016, exact 25 years later, the lovely couple celebrated their Silver Jubilee and looked terrific together! And I again feel disappointed and despaired as I again couldn’t witness the love birds and their charm, because I am too far to see that. I’m Delhi and they are in my hometown and their love nest ‘Kanpur’. However, I felt the same excitement and enthusiasm in my veins as they had because no distance can ever fade the feelings of family-ship (blood relations).      My parents, being so sim...
